In addition to its Pre-Wholesale Activities, TLS provides various Value Added Logistics (VAL) services to its clients.
TLS carries out many of the VAL assignments internally. TLS has a number of selected and audited suppliers. In this case TLS handles the whole logistics process for the client.
The most common VAL activities are:
- Stickering and management of sequential codes for Belgian medicines; (under Belgian law each package of a medicine is assigned an individual number. This way each product can be tracked accurately to the patient.)
- Labelling and stickering of products.
- Repacking, packing and unpacking products.
- Producing promotional packages, displays and combi-packs.
- Preparing, producing and sending mailings and other large-scale shipments.
Clients are sent production schedules on a regular basis, keeping them up-to-date on the progress of assignments.
